“Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for – in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.” – Ellen Goodman American journalist
“A house is just a place to keep your stuff while you go out and get more stuff.” – George Carlin (1937-2008)
The primary function of any house is “shelter”.
In essence, a place to “get out of the weather”.
Over time, this elemental function has become distorted beyond recognition for so many of us.
And now…..so many of us are not only enslaved by our own shelter, but trapped in it.
WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?
Maybe it’s time to respect the sacred nature of SHELTER again.
